Vikings May Face Bears Without Cutler
The Vikings play at Chicago Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am. The Vikings are 6-4 while Chicago is 7-3. Minnesota will face the Bears without starting quarterback Jay Cutler. Cutler told ESPN radio Tuesday that he will return this season but he doesn’t know whether he’ll return this Sunday against Minnesota.
If Cutler cannot play Sunday veteran backup Jason Campbell is expected to start. Campbell struggled with just 107 yards passing with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions in a 32-7 loss at San Francisco Monday night.
The Vikings will play the Bears 2 of the next 3 weeks and how the Vikings do over the next 3 weeks will go along way to determine whether they stay in the playoff hunt. The Vikings lose the tie-break against Seattle and Tampa Bay for the last playoff spot currently in the NFC. The Seahawks and Bucs both beat the Vikings this season.
