The Minnesota Vikings ran their preseason record to 3-0 with a 30-12 win over the Chiefs last night in Kansas City. Matt Cassel hit Cordarrelle Patterson for a 53-yard first-half touchdown strike, and Teddy Bridgewater added two more TD passes in the second half.

Adrian Peterson watched from the sidelines for the third week in a row, virtually assuring that he will see no game action during the preseason. Their first regular season game is September 7th at St. Louis.

The Vikings defense looked strong, forcing three interceptions.

The final preseason game for the Vikes comes up this Thursday night at Tennessee (7 PM on KARE-11).
