The Vikings improved to 2-1 Sunday with a stunning 24-13 win at home against the previously San Francisco 49ers.  Minnesota jumped out to a 17-3 haltime lead and never trailed.  Christian Ponder threw for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns and had a 23-yard touchdown run for the Vikings.  Adrian Peterson ran for 86 yards on 25 carries and had 2 catches for 21 yards.

Percy Harvin led the Viking receivers with 9 catches for 89 yards and Kyle Rudolph had 2 touchdown receptions.  The Vikings forced the 49ers into 3 turnovers.  The Vikings outgained the 49ers 344 yards to 280.

Minnesota is tied atop the NFC North with Chicago.  Detroit is 1-2 after losing in overtime at Tennessee.  The Vikings play at Detroit Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am.
