The Minnesota Vikings (4-2) snapped a five-game road losing streak, topping the Detroit Lions (1-6) 28-19 this afternoon in the Motor City. The Vikings sacked Lions quarterback seven times. Teddy Bridgewater threw for a season-high 316 yards and two touchdowns. Viking kicker Blair Walsh made 5 for 5 field goals.

The Vikings were down early, trailing the Lions 17-6, before rolling off 22 straight points to take the 28-17 lead.

Adrian Peterson carried the ball 19 times for 97 yards, with the bulk of that coming on a 75-yard burst down the sidelines. Rookie receiver Stefan Diggs lead the Vikings in receiving for the second week in a row making 6 catches for 108 yards -- including a 37-yard touchdown custom made for the highlight reel.

It was the Minnesota defense that dominated the affair, sacking Stafford seven times and and additional 13 hurries. Following the game Stafford was in the Lions lockers having his hand x-rayed.
