With weather in the mid-50's this weekend, the golf fanatics are going crazy trying to find a golf course that's opening. So far there's only 1 in Minnesota, so get your tee time in!

In my search for a central Minnesota gold course that might be open, I stuck out. One of the golf courses I called said "the grass has feelings too" and that "it's dormant right now and not ready for traffic". Most of the courses just had their winter hours voicemail turned on, so the assumption is they aren't planning to open for this odd warm spell in February.

There is, however, one golf course in Minnesota that's planning to open on Saturday - at least through Wednesday, and maybe longer. You'll have to travel to Forest Lake to get your golfing fix though. Tanners Brook will take tee-times for Sunday shotgun start at 11:30am. Starting at 10am tomorrow (Thursday) they will start taking tee-time calls and are likely going to sell out all available times quickly.

It's unlikely we'll see spring-like weather stay very long...it's Minnesota after all. If you don't get a chance to get a golf tee-time, you can always grab a cocktail and enjoy a backyard bonfire after a round of bags. You know that's what I'll be doing!
