The White Sox beat the Twins 6-3 on Tuesday night at Target Field in the opening game of a two game series. Minnesota falls to 60-78 on the season with the loss.

Kennys Vargas hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning to give the Twins a short-lived 2-0 lead.

However, Tommy Milone gave up three runs in the top of the second inning to hand it all back to the White Sox.

It was another disappointing outing for the lefthander that the Twins acquired at the trade deadline. Milone allowed three runs on five hits and four walks in 3.2 innings pitched.

The Twins tied the game when Danny Santana doubled home Eduardo Escobar in the bottom of the second inning.

The Sox pulled away with a pair of home runs in the top of the tenth inning off of Lester Oliveros, who was recently called up from the minor leagues.

The Twins and White Sox wrap up their brief two game series Wednesday night at 7:10.
