After his departure from Deep Purple in 1978 David Coverdale formed Whitesnake.

A band that was voted the 85th Greatest Hard Rock Band of all time by VH1.

The album ,Slide It In came out in 1984 not bad considering it was Whitsnake's forth Top 10 album (reached #9 in the UK).

At this same time, the band scored a major US record deal on the Geffen  label. The Slide It In album had drawn mixed reviews, the negatives particularly focusing on its "flat" mix type sound.

While a personnel change saw the touring band replace Micky Moody with John Sykes (Thin Lizzy) also the return of Neil Murray on bass.

The album was remixed for release in the U.S. and eventually went Platinum.

Another Eighties at Eight Video, enjoy.
