Glyn worked with the best of the best of all rock groups during what was the band's toughest period. The album 'Let It Be' (1970) was one of a difficult birth, and Glyn was there from day one.

Beatles longtime producer George Martin was absent from the sessions, Glyn became the album's producer with claims that John Lennon refused to grant him any credit.

"As it turned out, none of this mattered, as in the end, after the group broke up, John gave the tapes to Phil Spector, who puked all over them, turning the album into the most syrupy load of bullshit I have ever heard" (Glyn Johns).

Glyn would assist with engineering on the 'Abbey Road' album.
