The Minnesota Wild (32-22-7) beat the Nashville Predators (41-14-7) 4-2 last night in Tennessee. The Predators are in the top spot in this week's NHL power rankings. The last time Minnesota faced Nashville was January 10th in St. Paul; a game I attended -- and the Wild looked horrible. Oh, what a difference a month (and a new goalie) can make.

Nino Niederreiter scored two goals including the game winner at 9:48 of the second. Haula and Brodziak picked up the other two goals. Minnesota narrowly outshot Nashville 30-29, with Dubnyk making 27 saves for the Wild.

The Wild have won four of their last five games, and remain in the eighth and final playoff spot for the time being.

Next up for the Wild; tomorrow night (2/28) at Colorado at 9 PM CT (Radio: 1240 WJON, TV: Fox Sports North).

Go Wild!
