The Minnesota Wild topped the Edmonton Oilers 5-3 Tuesday night at Rexall Place in Edmonton. Kyle Brodziak led the Wild with a pair of goals in the win.

It was Brodziak's goal just a minute into the first period that set the tone for the Wild's offense Tuesday night. Neil Yakupov scored for Edmonton with just over four minutes left in the opening period to send the game into the first intermission tied 1-1.

The Wild then rattled off four unanswered goals to pull away for the victory. Mikael Granlund and Charlie Coyle charted goals for the Wild in the second period for a 4-2 lead, then Zach Parise and Brodziak scored in the third period.

Niklas Backstrom made sixteen saves to earn the win for the Wild, who are in sixth place in the Western Conference with just five games remaining in the season.
