The Minnesota Wild again struggled to score goals Wednesday night in a 3-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild were without star forward Zach Parise, who is expected to miss a handful of games after bruising his foot Monday.

Phoenix maintained the lead throughout the game after Mikkel Bodker scored eight minutes into the first period, and added a second goal when Radim Vrbata scored early in the second period.

Dany Heatley scored on a rebound for Minnesota late in the third period, but the Wild could not find the equalizer. Phoenix added an empty net goal with time winding down.

The Wild are now 15-7-4 and will host Colorado Friday night at Xcel Energy Center.
