The Anaheim Ducks snuck past the Wild Saturday night with a 4-3 overtime win at Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota lost both games of their season-opening home stand.

Anaheim got off to a fast start, with Saku Koivu notching a deflection goal past Niklas Backstrom for a 1-0 Ducks lead at 1:40 of the first period. The Ducks scored again just four minutes later on a power play for a two goal lead.

With Minnesota on a power play of their own, Zach Parise scored his first goal of the season at 11:52 from Mikko Koivu and Ryan Suter to make a 2-1 game in favor of Anaheim after one period.

In the second period the Ducks again got an early goal, with Jakob Silfverberg notching his second goal of the year at 1:19 for a 3-1 Anaheim lead.

Jason Pominville scored an unassisted goal at 8:28 to cut the Ducks lead to one. Minnesota was able to tie the game on Zach Parise's put-back goal just a minute in to the third period.

Anaheim scored the game winning goal with under five seconds left in overtime. Mathieu Perreault skated through a weak Minnesota back check and beat Backstrom on the near post.

The Wild are now 0-0-2 and will play at Nashville on Tuesday.
