The Minnesota Wild will play the next 4-6 weeks without center and captain Mikko Koivu.  He sustained a separted shoulder in Saturday’s game at St. Louis.  Koivu said when the injury happened that he thought it was worse than in actually is.  He leads the Wild in assists with 24 and points with 33.  Koivu was named to his first All Star team last week prior to the injury and now won’t be able to play in the All Star game.

The Wild called up right wing Carson McMillan from the Houston Aeros to replace Koivu on the active roster.

The Wild are 22-16-7 and with 51 points are in 8th place in the Western Conference.  Minnesota will play at Philadelphia tonight at 6pm, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 5:35.
