The Minnesota Wild traded forward Jason Pominville and defenseman Marco Scandella to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for forwards Tyler Ennis and Marcus Foligno. The Wild also receive a third round draft pick while sending Buffalo a fourth-rounder.

Pominville scored 47 points in 78 games last season, while Scandella scored 13 in 71 games. The two players were due to earn $9.6 million combined next season.

Ennis notched 13 points in 51 games last year with the Sabres, while Foligno had 23. Ennis is set to be paid $4.6 million next season, while Foligno is a restricted free agent.
