VANCOUVER - The Minnesota Wild picked up their 4th straight win with a 2-1 shootout victory against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday. The Wild (33-21-7) now have 73 points this season, and have a seven point wild-card cushion over the Dallas Stars.

Zach Parise scored the lone goal for the Wild in regulation. Ryan Kesler scored for the Canucks for the 1-1 tie.

Darcy Kuemper continued his stellar play in front of the net for the Wild. Kuemper made 30 saves through overtime and stopped all seven shots he faced in the shootout.

Rookie Justin Fontaine scored the only goal in the shootout, giving Minnesota the 2-1 win.

The Wild will return home next to play the Flames on Monday night. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
