Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding has been announced this afternoon as the NHL's 2013 Masterton Trophy winner. The award is given to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.

The trophy winner is selected by a poll of members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

Last fall Harding was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and missed two months of the season due to complications with a drug used to combat the disease.

Harding has started a charity to help in the fight against MS called, 'Harding's Hope. The organization's website can be found at http://www.hardingshope.org.
