The Country Music Association Awards are coming up and one former rock star who crossed over to the country side is trying to convince nominee Bob Dylan to show up. Will he make it?

Former Hootie & The Blowfish front man Darius Rucker wants Bob Dylan to come and make an appearance at the Country Music Association Awards in November because Darius's friends in the Old Crow Medicine Show took Bob's song Wagon Wheel and finished it off 30 some odd years after Bob wrote it and now it's up for Song of the Year at the CMAs. The prize actually goes to the song writer, so that would mean Bob would take the trophy home.

There's another reason Darius wants Bob there: He told CMT that it's pretty much been his life's dream to get up and sing Wagon Wheel with Bob and the guys from OCMS.

I for one think it would be wonderful to see it happen and am keeping my fingers crossed. We'll keep you posed, meanwhile the Country Music Association Awards are coming up November 6.
