Mother Nature doesn't care that our calendar says Spring. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Central and Southeastern Minnesota in effect from 11 AM this morning through 1 AM tonight -- with 2 to 4" of snow expected here in St. Cloud (more in some areas).

Cities included are St. Cloud, Elk River, Willmar, Litchfield, Monticello, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Hutchinson, Hastings, Faribault, Owatonna, Red Wing, and Rochester. Areas north of Saint Cloud are not included in the advisory.

Snowfall rates of 1-2" per hour are possible -- and that's some heavy snowfall. The whole thing will likely start as a rain/snow mix today. It should also move out of the area tonight, but another storm is possible Tuesday.

Be prepared for crappy travel conditions this afternoon & tonight.
