Wolves Reach Agreements With Kevin Martin, Budinger
The Timberwolves roster is beginning to take shape for the 2013-14 season as the team has reportedly reached a four-year agreement with swingman Kevin Martin and a three-year deal with forward Chase Budinger.
Martin, 30, played for the Oklahoma City Thunder last season after being swapped from Houston in exchange for James Harden. Martin averaged 14 points per game last season, down from 17.1 in 2011-12 and 23.2 in 2010-11. The contract is reportedly worth four years and $30 million.
Budinger played in just 23 games after suffering an early-season knee injury last season, his first in Minnesota. The 25-year old averaged 9.4 points per game.
The Wolves' final major task in the offseason will be to re-sign center Nikola Pekovic, who is a restricted free agent.
