According to an ESPN report, the Minnesota Timberwolves are in discussions with the Brooklyn Nets regarding a trade that would bring former Timberwolf Kevin Garnett back to Minnesota.

ESPN's Marc Stein reports that the Wolves would include forward Thaddeus Young in a deal for the 38-year old veteran Garnett, who played 12 seasons with Minnesota.

Young's contract could expire after this season, making him a candidate to be traded by the Wolves before he leaves without compensation after the year. However, Garnett has a no-trade clause in his contract, one of only six players in the league afforded that luxury.

The NBA's trade deadline is 2 PM on Thursday.
