World’s Longest Guitar Solo Record Being Attemped Today [LIVE VIDEO]

Austin, TX is known for it's unique music scene and plentiful venues for live performances. But today RED7 is hosting an extremely interesting artist.

David Didonato is the lead guitarist for the alternative metal band Modok, and former guitarist for Ultimate Dragons and he is at RED7 today to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest guitar solo.

The current record stands at 24 hours and 18 minutes (with a Guinness approved 5 minute break every hour). Didonato began last night at 7pm and (hopefully) will continue to play a solo lasting until tonite at 8pm.
