1 Seriously Hurt When Truck, Semi Collide in Long Prairie

LONG PRAIRIE -- A Sauk Centre man was hurt in a rollover in Long Prairie Monday afternoon.

The state patrol says the incident happened shortly after 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and Highway 27.

A pickup driven by 80-year-old Eugene Yarke of Sauk Centre was attempting a left turn into a gas station when he was hit by an oncoming semi truck.

The collision caused Yarke's pickup to enter the ditch and roll. He suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The driver of the semi, 51-year-old Juan Hernandez Mendoza of Long Prairie, was not hurt.
