If you're looking for a caring place to live, there's a couple options in Minnesota to choose from. It turns out that 'Minnesota Nice' is really true!

Wallethub just released their list of 2017's most caring cities in the US, and it's no wonder that Minnesota had 2 places in the top 20. To figure out who would make the list, they compared the 100 largest cities across 36 key indicators of a compassionate spirit. Some of the indicators included -- sheltered homeless persons, to number of volunteering hours per capita, to share of income donated to charity. Here's where Minnesota fell out of those 100 cities:

  4. Boston, MA
  5. Jersey City, NJ
  6. Pittsburgh, PA
  7. Chesapeake, VA
  8. Fremont, CA
  9. St. Paul, MN
  10. Seattle, WA
  11. San Francisco, CA
  12. San Diego, CA
  13. Colorado Springs, CO
  14. San Jose, CA
  15. Chicago, IL
  16. Portland, OR
  17. Scottsdale, AZ
  18. Plano, TX
  19. Irvine, CA
  20. Minneapolis, MN

As you can see, Madison, WI took the top spot in the list. It's possible that they reached that spot because they are a college town, and so many Minnesota students go to college there (hey, it's possible!). Congrats to St. Paul for cracking the top 10!! Notice how "New York" is nowhere on that list? Doesn't surprise me...
