It was 1972, and while in his garage Dennis DeYoung (Keyboards, vocals) penned "Lady" a song he wrote for his wife.

Dennis used an electric piano on this tune which actually was a last minute switch from the original synthesizer after Dennis used the piano in the studio where the song was recorded.

You're my lady of the morning,

Love shines in your eyes,

Sparkling clear and lovely,

You're my lady.

"Lady" can be found on their 1973 album ' Styx II" and available on CD and Vinyl LP.
