Anyone that hears the name Jimi Hendrix most likely thinks right away of electric which is more than just the specialized guitar he used and brought to life by his ability.

Electric and Jimi are synonymous with stage presence, his mar influence on rock, his style of play and even his personal life.

How many artists do you know or have read about that state Jimi as a musical influence in their career? Well the list would most definitely fill several pages. Just to name a few: Eddie Van Halen, Ace Frehley (KiSS), Steie Ray Vaughn, Ted Nugent, Robin Trower, Steve Lukather (Toto) and Yngwie Malmsteen.

In 1967 we really got to see a spectacle on stage as Jimi performed at the Monterey Pop Festival.

Jimi Hendrix is an Immortal when it comes to the music he brought us and locked that in when he performed "The Star Spangled Banner" at Woodstock back in 1969.

The attached video has that performance from 1969.
