The Boomtown Rats – “She’s So Modern” [VIDEOS]

The Boomtown Rats were a band born and raised in a town named Du'n Laoghaire, Ireland, however; the bands name has no Irish roots to it.Actually the name was a street gang used in an autobiography of Woody Guthrie.

The Boomtown Rats produced six albums, they had 15 singles that charted int he UK, 12 of them in the Top 40 but for the punk rockers none of their albums ever surfaced in the Top 100 in the US and only one single, "I Don't Like Mondays" ever charted at all.

The band stayed together for ten years (1975-1985), from then on vocalist Bob Geldof became the catalyst behind 'Live Aid' and 'Live 8' concerts.

The Boomtown Rats did a brief re-union tour in 2013 for what is an early Spring-Summer tour.
