It took six tries but Mott the Hoople finally cracked the Top 10 on the album charts in the U.K. with their album 'Mott'.Mott the Hoople was already a familiar name as in 1972 they released, "All The Young Dudes" (produced by David Bowie) yet their album 'Mott' was the one that got them the commercial success they needed, that album alone matched anything commercially from the first six albums.
