AC/DC now has a doctor in the group as singer Brian Johnson received his honorary doctorate degree yesterday.

AC/DC singer Brian Johnson is now a doctor, thanks to his honorary doctorate degree he received from Northumbria University in England on Wednesday. He was presented with a degree as a Doctor of Music.

Northumbria Vice Chancellor Andrew Wathey called it "fitting" to present Brian with the degree. Brian was born in Britain, and Vice Chancellor Wathey says that Brian has one of the most distinctive voices in rock and roll. He added that Brian is an "inspiration to generations of young musicians over several decades."

At least now when he asks groupies to "play doctor" he can say he's a real doctor.
