Aerosmith Bassist Back In The Saddle

Aerosmith Bassist Tom Hamilton reveals he's been sick for five years, but is on the mend. 

Tom Hamilton has apparently been fighting tongue and throat cancer since 2006 and underwent surgery last week to treat it.

The operation was considered successful and Tom is expected to be able to go out on tour with Aerosmith in South America and Japan starting in October. He is also reportedly involved with the group as they record a new album in their native Boston and said via his Twitter account that the band has a major pile of good songs to work on.

No word on if the album will be finished before their fall tour, but here's to hoping and here's to a speedy recovery!
