After Being Closed for 2 Seasons, Local Tree Farm Will be Reopening
Some people have the time honored tradition of being like the Griswolds, and head out to find that perfect Christmas Tree for your family's holiday celebration.
One tree farm in the area that was very popular closed in 2022 because of the passing of a beloved family member. This had been a tradition for many, and in the Rothstein family for decades. It was hard to see it not continue on, but at the same time, understandable.
This was the Facebook post from November of 2022.
We appreciate all your support over the years. I apologize that we will no longer be selling trees due to the passing of my husband. I would still enjoy staying in contact. Blessings to you all.
So for the last couple of years, families have had to find an alternate spot to get their real, family Christmas tree But it looks like this year the tree farm will be reopening.
As far as exactly when they will be reopening, and what the hours will be, that will be posted at a later date.. Make sure to follow then on Facebook for updates.
So, if you were missing out on getting a real tree from the Rothstein Tree Farm, located outside of St. Joseph, you will be able to continue that tradition again this year. If you haven't done that in the past, it really is fun to go out, find the perfect tree, and cut it down yourself. Then you get to bring it home and decorate it with all of the lovely scents of the season included.
Perfect time to get the family together and make it an event. Picking out the (Griswold) Family Christmas tree. But hopefully your family doesn't end up like the Griswolds in the movie Christmas Vacation, but probably break out the movie and watch it. It's a tradition at our house.
Merry early Christmas!
