After Delayed Start Twins Fall 1-0 to Mariners
In a game that was already a makeup game from earlier in the season, the Minnesota Twins and Seattle Mariners had to wait on Mother nature once again, before Seattle eventually beat the Twins 1-0 last night at Target Field.
The first pitch came and hour and 42 minutes late.
Jake Odorizzi threw six scoreless innings for the Twins, and struck out seven batters to lower his ERA to 3.35 -- but Seattle eventually prevailed after scoring a late run off of Minnesota's bullpen.
The Twins are now 17-20, sitting in second place in the AL Central -- just a game and a half behind first place Cleveland. Minnesota opens a two-game series against the Cardinals tonight in Minneapolis.
Tonight: St. Louis at Minnesota. First pitch 7:10 PM, CT (TV: Fox Sports North, Radio: 1240 WJON.)
