The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting that Troopers and Minneapolis police officers ticketed almost 650 people for being a pedestrian on the freeway and public nuisance during a protest that blocked traffic on I-94 last night.

The State Patrol also reported six vehicles were towed during the law enforcement response to the protest. No force was used and the officers involved did not deploy any teargas or other chemical irritants as they worked to disperse the crowd and reopen the freeway around 1:25 AM.

While photos and videos of the crowd show people holding up anti-Trump signs, the organizers of the protest say it was planned before the election.
