Most people who I know that are music fanatics typically agree that the 70s  and 80s were the golden era of music. Most of the popular bands of the time had musicianship that was through the roof, not mention how innovative they were.

It’s pretty safe to say that bands like Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd changed the course of modern music forever. Another group that belongs in the category of revolutionary bands is Journey.

Let’s be honest, EVERYONE loves Journey. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t, and quite frankly I don’t want to. It’s pretty cool that they came to Target Field with Def Leppard over the summer, but if you’re like most of us you probably didn't get the chance to see them.

If you love the music of Journey as much as I do I recommend checking out the tribute “Arch Allies.” They do a pretty remarkable job re-creating all of those classic tunes, and they also cover Def Leppard, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi, and Boston too. It's taking place at Kato Ballroom in Mankato. The show is on Saturday, February 22nd and the performance starts at 7 pm. Tickets are available online now.
