Unfortunately, the days of rock bands being the focal point of modern entertainment are pretty much over. Back in the day, rock bands were everywhere. The driving forces of the time were Zeppelin, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Sabbath, and The Who.

Another name that comes to mind that belongs on that list is Asia. John Wetton's soaring vocals and Steve Howe's guitar riffs made for a one of a kind combination. The band has had it’s fair share of breakups re-unions over the years, but they’re finally back on the road again.

Although it's been quite a while since the band has released any new music, I'm thankful that they're at least still touring. Asia will be coming to Minnesota – playing the Buck Concert Series in Burnsville (a 3 day event.) The show will take place on Thursday, July 11th. They'll be sharing the stage with Lou Gramm and Def Leggend. Doors open at 4 pm and tickets are available online now.
