The city of St. Cloud picks up the clear/white compost bags from the street corner of St. Cloud residents Mondays from spring to fall. Moon Dogs Top Rox 5-1
The St. Cloud Rox lost 5-1 at Mankato Monday night. The Moon Dogs went out to a 4-0 lead before the Rox scored their lone run in the 8th inning. Charlie Condon went 1-2 with a RBI and Brice Mathews, Ike Mezzenga and Garrett Pennington each had a double for the Rox.

The St. Cloud Police Department is reporting a burglary where a 2005 gray and white Ego motorized bicycle was taken from a locked garage.
SCSU’s Banaian: Reason for Declining Gas Prices
Gas prices has been on the steady decline in the past few weeks. St. Cloud State Dean, School of Public Affairs and Economics Professor King Banaian joined me on WJON. He says there are a couple of reasons for the decline in gas prices. Banaian says people are driving less which means there is extra gas to move.
Rox Rally Past La Crosse 5-1
The St. Cloud Rox downed the La Crosse Loggers in La Crosse Sunday 5-1. The Rox broke the 1-all tie with 1 run in the 4th inning, and added 2 runs in the 7th inning and 1 run in the 8th inning. Hunter Day threw the first 6 innings with 8 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win.
St. Cloud Residents Are Using Lots of Water at This Time of Day
St. Cloud is not experiencing the drought like conditions this year we did last year. That means there are no restrictions on watering or water use. Tracy Hodel is the Public Works Director for the city of St. Cloud. She says it is optimal for people to water their lawns when the sun isn't out to avoid evaporation.
Best Ways to Catch Walleyes in Minnesota in Late July
We have reached the dogs days of summer but that doesn't mean the walleyes have stop biting. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON this week. He says if you are looking for walleyes the best bet is to focus on the more traditional walleye lakes that simply have better numbers of walleyes.
Sartell Splits a Pair of Games at State Legion Baseball Tourney
The Sartell American Legion baseball team split a pair of pool play games in Prior Lake Thursday in the State American Legion baseball tournament. Sartell defeated Farmington 11-3 with Kade Lewis going 4-4 with a run and 2 RBIs in the afternoon.

The St. Cloud Rox fell behind 2-0 in the 1st inning but rallied to beat the visiting Waterloo Bucks 8-2 Thursday night at Joe Faber Field.
Sewer System Upgrade on Southeast Side of St. Cloud
The city of St. Cloud is working on a sewer system upgrade on the southeast side of St. Cloud. Tracy Hodel is the Public Works Director for the City of St. Cloud. She says the work is being done on 9th Avenue Southeast and Minnesota Boulevard Southeast.
