Avon’s Young Amphitheater Provides Nice Venue for Small-Town Music

AVON --  The still young Avon amphitheater is garnering more attention every season. The amphitheater is in its second year of operation, and located in Wobegon Park.

The amphitheater is starting to play host to several acts around Avon, and Central Minnesota. Co-Chair of Avon's "Spunktacular Days" Jackie Dahlin says the amphitheater cost just over $10,000 to build, and was funded by the local lions club, and some private donors who still want to stay anonymous.

Dahlin says the local churches in town often have small shows there, and the amphitheater will feature the music acts of Avon's Spunktacular Days.
