Axl Heads To Court And Duff Shoots Down Reunion Rumors

Axl Rose will be getting his day in court for his suit against Activision and Duff is saying don't hold your breath in hopes of the band getting back together for next year's Big Game. 

Axl Rose filed suit against the makers of the Guitar Hero franchise, Activision because he claims they used "Welcome to the Jungle" in one of the games and went back on their word saying they wouldn't use images of former GNR lead guitarist Slash. The original complaint states, "Simply put, the association between Slash and Guns N' Roses ended almost 15 years ago. Rose resists any attempts to revive or strengthen this past association." It also described "Welcome to the Jungle" as a, quote, "highly-renowned rock song of immense popularity regarded by fans and critics alike as one of the greatest hard rock songs of all time."

Axl is asking for $20 million dollars in damages. He will have his day in court January 23, 2012.

Meanwhile, Duff McKagan is shooting down reports that GNR is reuniting for the Super Bowl halftime show next year. I told you about a month ago reports had surfaced that Guns n' Roses was geting back together following a jam session in London where Duff joined the current GNR lineup. He says he now regrets jumping on stage with the group because all it did was fuel rumors among fans.

So, if you if you were holding your breath for GNR to play the Super Bowl next year, I guess you can breathe now.
