Baxter’s Attic, Humble Pie “I Don’t Need No Doctor” (live)
Humble pie was one of the late 60's super groups, finding success on both sides of the Atlantic. the band was formed by Steve Marriot of Small Faces. The original band line-up featured lead vocalist and guitarist Steve Marriot , vocalist and guitarist Peter Frampton, bassist Greg Ridley and a 17-year-old drummer, Jerry Shirley.
Humble Pie's biggest break was the massive exposure they received at Woodstock in 1969. Nothing like having a potential audience of about four hundred thousand.
Founder, Steve Marriot was well respected, by his rock peers, as one of the best rock vocalists around. Peter Frampton, of course, went on to huge fame with the release of 'Frampton Comes Alive". Unfortunately, through bad management and a variety of other things, Peter ended up flat broke and allegedly was forced to pawn even his guitars. He made a pretty good comeback and continues to tour. He put on a pretty good show at Moondance Jam a couple of Summers ago.
