I've always been a Pink Floyd fan. There has never been any band like them. I jumped at the chance to work a Pink Floyd concert when I worked for a station in Florida. They were appearing at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, must have been early 90's. On the evening of the show it was pouring rain. The kind of rain you see in Florida quite often. In this pouring rain, there was a less than two percent no-show. People stood out in the rain wearing trash bags and trying desperately to keep the joints lit. I asked the road manager how they could possibly tear down the massive set and transport it to Houston for the next show? He laughed and told me they are tearing down one set behind them and setting up two more ahead of them. That's four of these massive laser light sets traveling around the country at the same time. Anyway, it was a tremendous show. It's almost as if the heavy rain added to the entire experience. One of the best show I've ever seen.
