Minneapolis based Best Buy is following suit with most other major retailers by not being open on Thanksgiving, this year. They will, however, be opening their doors bright and early at 5 AM the following Friday for some of their Black Friday sales.

As of now, it's not clear how they will handle the crowd thing. My guess is they will let a limited number of customers into the store at a time. Which I think will be a better Black Friday shopping experience for everyone.

Not being a big fan of large manic crowds, this is just fine with me. Of course, masks will be required while inside the store. Hopefully, there will be some sort of social distancing plan for those waiting outside the store.

The majority of sales at Best Buy will be the week of November 22nd. There will be other special deals throughout the month, featuring hundreds of deals in store and online. Check them out here bestbuy.com

I would think the best way to shop the deals this year would be to shop online and avoid any Black Friday mayhem.  I really can't see any reason to camp out to get great deals, when you can just roll out of bed, pour a cup of coffee and shop online.

However you choose to shop this year, be kind, be safe and try enjoy the holiday despite the altered state of things due to the pandemic.
