Stir crazy.  The name of this beer speaks to exactly how I've been feeling.  Don't get me wrong.  I love the change of seasons here in Minnesota and even find beauty in winter, but it is not my favorite time of year and I find myself indoors a lot.  Today I found myself indoors sipping on a can of Indeed Brewing Company's "Stir Crazy" and it is really hitting the spot.

This winter ale is brewed with cacao nibs, vanilla, raisins, and brown sugar.  When I read the raisins part, I have to admit, I had my doubts on whether I would enjoy the flavor.  Never been a fan of raisins.  Maybe it's because this guy four houses down from us growing up always gave away those little Sunflower raisin boxes on Halloween.  Maybe it's because my Mom thought we liked them and always had them around the house for snacks.  Love grapes.  Love wine.  Do not love raisins.  BUT... love this beer.

You definitely get a sense of the touch of sweetness, but I can't decipher between brown sugar and raisin.  I find the dark malts really shine through and you get a slight hint of the cacao.

The right amount of bitter too.  I could drink more than one in a sitting for sure.
