The Bruce Springsteen Archives have arrived at their new home. Where is it and how long will the archives be there?

Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey is now the permanent site for the archives of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and the exhibit will be housed there until the end of time.

The archives feature 15 thousand documents from 44 countries and span more than 40 years. They were being kept at the Asbury Park Public Library, but the space wasn't big enough to show them all off and it also allowed no room for expansion. With the archives now housed at Monmouth, there is plenty of room for all of it and there is also room to expand and add films and recordings.

Monmouth’s President Paul Gaffney says that both students and staff will “benefit greatly from having access to these documents” and he adds that he hopes it will also “serve as a valuable resource for members of the academic community.”

Thankfully for Springsteen fans, the public will still be allowed to view it and apparently will have easier access than they did when the archives were at Asbury Park Public Library. The Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Archives officially go on display today.
