Since I have to be the station early in the morning, I get up at the crack of 4 AM. They said 25 years ago, when I started doing morning radio, that I would get used to getting up at 4.  Still waiting and still not used to it.

I actually set 3 different alarms to get up. So, 5 days a week, I'm basically shocked awake 3 times a day. I just don't think that can be good for anybody.

Well, now researchers have concluded that being shocked awake really isn't good for you and maybe music is the way to go. Waking up to music can make you get out of bed faster, and help you feel less sluggish and more alert.

Researcher concluded that melodies do a better job than a blasting alarm at holding your attention and gets your brain going.

So set your alarm to the LOON in the morning and we'll whisper sweet nothings in your ear, to wake you up.
