SAUK RAPIDS – Thousands of people took a stroll down memory lane on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Sauk Rapids. The 37th annual Pantowners Classic Car show was held again this year at the Benton County Fairgrounds. With a DJ blasting music from the 1950′s in the background, there was a steady stream of onlookers checking out the cars. Some reminiscing about cars they used to have, some dreaming about owning a classic car in the future.

Car Show Chair Nancy Zupan says, “it’s been an awesome show”. She says they filled up all of the car spots with over 600 cars registered for the show. There was also over 400 vendors in the swap meet. Total attendance expected to top out well over 5,000 people.

Cars eligible to be in the show had to be from 1979 or older. Some cars dated back nearly 100 years to the 1910′s. Every make and model imaginable was in the show from from Mustangs, to Thunderbirds, to Corvettes. And of course, a car show in the St. Cloud area has to have a Pan car, and there were at least three at the show.
