For a short time... about a year and a half, I had the opportunity to live in Southeastern Minnesota.  There are so many things in this state that I am still discovering.  There are some pretty cool things that are only a day trip from St. Cloud.

Harmony, Minnesota.  Have you heard of it?  I hadn't until a few years ago.  There is a pretty cool haunted house that is put on every year for Halloween (maybe not this year, but normally) and now I find this cool cave that you can check out if you are in the area.  Or maybe you should make an effort to be in the area.

The cave is called Niagara Cave. And this is one of the cooler things that I have heard of in Minnesota.  I don't know if you have been to any other caves around the country, but there is one that I remember going to as a kid... that was Jewel Cave.  It's located in South Dakota.  One of those road trip family vacations.  And it was probably the best part of that one, I only say that because it's the part that I remember the most.

Niagra Cave is described as one of the "Top 10" caves in the United States.  There is a one hour guided tour (love guided tours- you at least know what's happening).  And there are several other activities that are involved when you visit the cave.  According to Explore MN website, these are some of the things that you can do while in the area:

60ft waterfall, wedding chapel, stalactites, stalagmites, and various fossils. Also has 10-acre picnic grounds with shelter and gift shop. Added attraction is a gemstone mining sluice where you can mine for real gemstones and fossils. Niagara Cave has been voted "Best Family Attraction in Bluff Country!"

And now they have a 18 hole mini golf course too.  All of these activities need to be checked if happening due to the coronavirus restrictions.  So just check that out before setting up a trip.  Minnesota has been adding things and opening in phases, this could be on the list for this Summer's activities.  Definitely a "must see".
