I know it’s considered a cardinal sin for any Minnesotan to say what I’m about to say, but I’ve gotta be honest – I’m not a Prince fan. There, I said it. To me, he was just some quirky little weirdo that played dance music. I never understood his appeal stylistically. But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t have some respect for him as a musician.

The man was incredibly talented (albeit, rather overrated.) On several occasions he played all of the instruments on his own records. It’s difficult enough to learn one instrument, let alone ten. So, I give respect where respect is due, and even though Prince’s music isn’t really my cup of tea, I know a lot of people who absolutely adore his body of work.

If you’re a Prince fan and would like the opportunity to celebrate his life with like minded people, you might want to check out the Prince CELEBRATION 2018. It’s taking place between April 19-22 at Prince’s historic home and recording sanctuary outside Minneapolis.

The event will welcome fans from around the world into an environment of live music, panel discussions and special presentations highlighting Prince’s tremendous talent. There will be musical guests set to perform at Paisley Park during CELEBRATION 2018 who will be paying tribute to everyone’s favorite purple clothed guitarist.

Unfortunately, individual General Admission and VIP tickets to the event are nearly sold out, but a special CELEBRATION 2018 meal pass is also now available for purchase, which covers all four days of the event for just $100. You can visit officialpaisleypark.com for more details.
