Anyone with a cat knows better (or should know better) than to clean a litter box with bleach. Why? Because the ammonia in cat pee mixing with bleach creates a gas that is toxic...and even fatal in high concentrations.

Cleaning is no fun (unless you're an odd one). You want to get it over with as soon as possible, so it only seems smart to try to level-up your cleaning game by adding bleach. But what should you absolutely avoid mixing with bleach?

What CAN Be Mixed With Bleach?

If you are determined to mix a cleaner with bleach (oddball), then you can mix bleach with a surfactant, like dish soap. This is sometimes done with pressure washers.

As a general rule, you should NEVER mix bleach with anything except plain ol' water.

Boring? Yes. Safer? Also yes.
