Common Roots Festival & Craft Cocktail Competition in St. Cloud
We need to soak up all of Summer we possibly can, especially since it seems like it didn't start until July. When there are fun events going on in and around St. Cloud, it's great to participate as much as you can.
This time it's the Common Roots First Annual Downtown St. Cloud Cocktail Crawl & Competition!
The event is happening this Saturday, August 24th. There will be 9 downtown St. Cloud bars involved, and there will be live music at each bar involved in the competition. The event is showcasing teamwork and creativity with original cocktails for you to enjoy, and yes, judge. The event runs from 4pm to 8pm.
The bars that will be participating in this event include:
B Social, Olde Brick House, MC's Dugout, Jules Bistro, Veranda Lounge/ Blue Goose Speakeasy, The Red Carpet, Howies, The White Horse & 7 West
The live music throughout the downtown area will be coming from the Common Roots festival which is going on at the same time.
According to the Facebook Event post, this is how it works:
Visit each participating bar to taste their unique, team-created cocktails.
Judging: There are two categories of winners:
Customer Choice: Vote for your favorite cocktails as you sample each one. Pick up a Bar Crawl Map at any participating location! Drop off your Bar Crawl map with your top 3 cocktail picks at the Common Roots tent located in front of the Veranda Lounge Bar!
Judged Picks: A panel of judges will also select their top picks based on taste, creativity, and presentation.
You can pick up a map of the crawl at any one of the participating bars, and then get ready to have an evening of fun, entertainment, and maybe some delicious new cocktails. Even if you decide not to participate in the cocktail element of this event, definitely make plans to enjoy all of the live music throughout the downtown area.
