Cops: Christmas Parade Gone Wrong
As the daughter of a law enforcement professional, I have heard a lot of stories over the years, and Dad always said that the kooks came out around full moons and holidays. Here's proof.
Chestertown, Maryland - At the city's Christmas parade over the weekend, Frosty the Snowman got a little agitated that a police dog was walking in the parade alongside Frosty.
Frosty allegedly smarted off to the dog's handler and made disparaging remarks about the dog being in the parade. The K9 handler didn't take too kindly to Frosty's comments and a heated argument ensued. Frosty had a complete meltdown when police tried to escort him out of the parade. He ended up fighting with officers and apparently tried kicking at the dog.
Frosty was placed under arrest and when they took off his head featuring the corncob pipe, button nose and two eyes made out of coal, it wasn't really Frosty, but rather a man posing as Frosty. The man's name is Kevin Michael Walsh and it turns out he has been playing Frosty the Snowman in Chestertown's Christmas Parade for the last ten years. This is the first time, however that Frosty has caused problems.
My guess is that the dog was trying to pee on Frosty's leg. Walsh was released on his own recognizance. No word on a court date.
