This is not meant to be some kind of panic thing. I just want to get that out of the way immediately. But when I saw this interactive map, I found it very interesting...and, I will admit, a little scary.

It's really because of how it's setup. It just has that ominous feel to it. Plus, if your zoomed out enough, then this big red blog sits over China and the whole damn country looks like something out of a zombie-virus apocalypse movie.

This map keeps track of the amount of people infected, where the infected are, how many have died and how many have recovered. Click here to see it.

According to the World Health Organization, the coronaviruses are a family of viruses that range from a cold to more severe illnesses. Here's what they suggest you do to protect yourself and some of the myths associated with it.

Now this, like many viruses in the past, have caused concern and some panic.  And while most of the time it turns out to be nothing to severe, it's always a good reminder for people to maintain personal hygiene. Wash your hands often and don't touch your face with your hands. If you plan on traveling, do your research.
